Freestyle is a form of football where players display their tricks & moves and are judged on their artistic expression, acrobatic and athletic skills as well as their performance, showmanship and expertise.

Freesyle is an art for me, it provides a channel for expression just like any other artform. When you're juggling a ball and doing tricks you're attention is completely focused on the present, namely the movements of the ball and your body relative to one another. In such a state of immense concentration, there is little time to think about other peripheral matters. You live in the moment and it is all about pulling off unbeliveble tricks. Many seek to creata their own novel tricks, while others are content to perform already established maneuvers. What everyone has in common though is a love for that little round thing we affectionately refer to as a ''ball''. Most up and comming freestylers begin by triying to master juggling and other basics such as a footstall which is simply the act of balancing the ball on your foot. It certainly doesn't sound all that hard, but I guarantee that all freestylers struggled with it on their first attempts. When you have mastered the basics you may wish to pull off some more difficult tricks, perhaps an atw(around the world) which is a 360 desgree rotation of your leg around the ball. After initial struggles and fustration, having reached this point most people are hooked on freestyle and from then on it's all about having fun. Mastering the basics opens up a myriad of possibilities in a freestyler's mind sucs as new tricks and combinations. However as in all sports and life for that matter, it's difficult to come up with original tricks and ideas. In all likelyhood the most obvious tricks and ideas that come to mind have already been thought up and put into practice by someone before you.
